Business Support Director
Following a 23-year career in the Royal Navy, having served in a variety of roles including Air Traffic Control, Operations and as an Aircraft Controller, Simon was the Teesside Base Manager for Cobham Aviation Services (more recently known as Draken).
Simon joined 2Excel Aviation in 2017 as Operations Manager before being promoted to the role of Director of Ground Operations in 2020.
In July 2023 Simon was promoted into the newly created role of Business Support Director and appointed to the Executive Board.
The Business Support Unit has responsibility for Infrastructure, Security, IT, Health & Safety and Continuous Improvement, and was created in response to the growing Company’s requirement for a dedicated support function to manage now, and plan for future development.
