Head of Counter Pollution – Special Missions
Ian joined 2Excel in 2021 to head up Counter Pollution within our Special Missions division and is a Captain, flying our Boeing 727s with their specialist aerial dispersant capability.
He spent twenty years in the Royal Air Force as an operational Harrier pilot, and display pilot, as well as training Royal Air Force and Royal Navy pilots.
Ian is a graduate of The Advanced Command and Staff Course, with a master’s degree with Distinction from Kings College, and also held the post of Royal Air Force Exchange Officer at the United States Air Force Academy.
On leaving the Armed Forces, Ian spent 15 years in commercial aviation and engineering as a pilot, and in management and training roles.
