Director of Special Missions
Arnie joined 2Excel in 2009 to lead the research, development, test and evaluation arm of the business before retraining as a Captain on the Boeing 727 in 2013 and helping to create the aerial dispersant capability which now sits within Special Missions.
He joined the Royal Air Force in 1986, completing a tour on the Tornado, four front-line Harrier tours and two tours as a trials pilot and manager on the Fast Jet & Weapons Evaluation Unit. From 2004 to 2006, he was second in command of Joint Force Harrier which comprised the entire Royal Air Force and Royal Navy Harrier fleets, and commanded the Operations Wing at the Harrier main operating base in the UK. Prior to joining 2Excel, Arnie spent three years flying the A340-600 aircraft from Heathrow for Virgin Atlantic Airway.
