2Excel Aviation signs up to Armed Forces Covenant

  • Company commits to continue supporting service members, veterans and their families.
  • Recognises the contribution both regular and reservist service personnel, veterans and military families make to the Company, the community and to the country.
  • Some 35% of 2Excel Aviation’s employee-owners are military veterans.

UK-based aviation and aerospace services company 2Excel Aviation has pledged its support to the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme to ensure members of the Armed Forces community are treated fairly.

2Excel Aviation, which is 51% employee-owned, works across a range of industries, including defence and security, engineering and disaster response. Most notably, it delivers fixed-wing aircraft for UK Search & Rescue and designing and building ‘Excalibur’ – the Flight Test Aircraft for Team Tempest, the project to create a sixth-generation combat jet for the Royal Air Force.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a voluntary pledge to support the welfare and employment of the armed forces community and their families. It represents a promise that those who serve or have served, and their families, are treated fairly.

Andy Offer, Co-founder and Director of 2Excel Aviation said: “Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant signifies our deep respect for the military community and our dedication to supporting those who have served and continue to serve as regular or reserve forces.

“As a business whose workforce is around 35% former military and reservists, we value the skills, experience, ethos and values such people bring to our organisation, fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity.”

By signing the covenant, 2Excel Aviation aims to provide opportunities and support for veterans and their families, recognising their significant sacrifices and contributions.

The signing ceremony took place on Friday 14th July within 2Excel’s chalet at the Royal International Air Tattoo held at RAF Fairford. Signing on behalf of Defence was Air Marshal Richard Maddison, the RAF’s Deputy Chief of the Air Staff.
