Stores Inspector

Leading Edge, an EASA approved Design Organisation (DOA) and Production Organisation (POA), provides design and production services to support the other business units within the group and external organisations. In January 2018, Leading Edge set up an approved Maintenance Organisation (MOA) to enhance their offering.

2Excel have an exciting opportunity for a Stores Inspector to join Leading Edge. The Stores Inspector is a post which has responsibilities across all aspects of Leading Edge – the function is to support Design (DOA), Production (POA) and Maintenance (MOA) with regard to procurement and stores activity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Maintaining Production and Maintenance stores facilities including good received, goods allocated and return of items with specific responsibility for the incoming inspection of components, parts, materials, tools and equipment, the related classification, segregation and storage according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and any EASA/CAA regulations

• Assist the Stores Supervisor or Head of Procurement and Stores with performing periodic checks on personnel tool boxes and maintain appropriate records

• Raising and transmission of Requests for Quotation

• To support the cleanliness, tidiness and upkeep of the Production and Maintenance stores

• Understand and be able to, effectively, operate the maintenance control software.

• Have a working knowledge of the POA and MOA exposition, and carry out your duties in line with the approved procedures

The successful applicant will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

• Experience within a similar role or environment would be advantageous

• Knowledge of EASA Part 145 and Part 21G stores requirements an advantage

• Ability to prioritise and organise own workload effectively

• Able to work well under pressure, ensuring a continued attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

• Able to work on own initiative, continually seeking improvements

• The ability to learn new systems and follow additional tasking as/when required

• Excellent IT skills, fully competent with Microsoft Office suite

• Good Communication skills and ability to work in a team

In addition, applicants must be able to demonstrate the Right to Work in the UK and hold a valid UK Driving Licence.

This role is offered on a full time basis working Monday to Friday, however, we are looking for candidates who are flexible in order to meet business need.
