Quality/Compliance Manager

Leading Edge, a business unit within 2Excel Aviation Ltd, is seeking a number of experienced full time Quality/Compliance Manager(s)/Engineer(s). 2Excel Aviation Ltd is the industry leader in specialised and innovative solutions for aviation’s most complex challenges. Leading Edge, an EASA approved Part 21J Design Organisation (DOA), Part 21G Production Organisation (POA) and Part 145 Maintenance Organisation (MOA) provides design, production, flight test and maintenance services to support the other business units within the group and external organisations.

Based at Doncaster Sheffield Airport and reporting to the Chief Executive, these EASA Form 4 positions, will deliver all aspects of the Quality and Safety system for Leading Edge, continuously reviewing the system ensuring compliance with EASA Part 145, Part M, Part 21 G & J, EASA and CAA regulations from a quality perspective in accordance with the requirements of the civil aviation regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake internal & external auditing of Part 145, Part 21G and Part 21J activities; including sub-contractors, calibration, and approved supplier’s
• Maintain the EASA/UKCAA Part 145, Part 21G and Part 21J quality system accreditations.
• Investigation of maintenance, design or production errors, internal occurrence reports and mandatory occurrence reports and preparation of associated reports.
• Liaison with regulatory authorities and customers
• Advise and provide guidance to Engineers on regulatory matters.
• Development and maintenance of the approved Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and Production Organisation Exposition (POE).

The Successful candidate will ideally have:

• Experience in an airline quality and safety environment, ideally within a DOA/POA/MOA environment, military (MAA) airworthiness experience is desirable.
• Demonstrable ability to conduct audits.
• Experience/solid understanding of working with aircraft.
• The ability to communicate and work effectively with people at various levels and locations.
• Prior experience and thorough knowledge of EASA regulations and Quality Management systems.
• Understanding of EASA Flight Ops and EASA Part M desirable.
• In addition, applicants must be able to prove their right to work in the UK and hold a valid driving licence.
