We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Assistant to join our existing Operations Team based at Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield. 2Excel Aviation Ltd is an industry leader in specialised and innovative solutions for aviation’s most complex challenges. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Ops Assistant is tasked with assisting the Operations department in helping to facilitate the effective delivery of the Company’s flying programme, including freight, VIP charter and bespoke trial support aircraft.

• Assisting the Ops team in maintaining an accurate flight watch of all company aircraft.
• Helping co-ordinating the expeditious dispatch of freight, VIP and trial support aircraft to minimise delays and client inconvenience.
• Assisting the Ops team with flight planning including filing flight plans, coordinating with civil and military ATC and managing slots, coordinating airport slots, weather and NOTAM monitoring and arranging handling, fuel, PPR and all necessary permits.
• Supporting crew and client HOTAC, transport and catering
• Supporting the allocation of ramp staff as required
• Supporting the monitoring of crew FTL’s, ensuring they are operating within limitations
• Assisting the Ops team when coordinating the recovery of aircraft breakdowns and other operational limitations that affect the aircraft flying schedule and overcoming challenges faced as a result.

We are looking for candidates who are willing to learn and keen to progress within an Operations environment. This role is an excellent opportunity for somebody with a passion for aviation and Ops, and provides a clear career path to progress.

The successful candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

• Previous aviation experience would be advantageous but is not essential
• A ‘can do’ flexible attitude
• An excellent communicator and team player
• Ability to create strong working relationships with all members of staff
• Ability to work accurately under pressure
• In addition, applicants must be able to demonstrate the Right to Work in the UK hold a valid UK Driving Licence

This role is offered on a Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm basis. However, we are looking for candidates who are flexible in order to meet business need.
