Finance Director

2Excel Aviation Ltd, an employee owned company, is an industry leader in specialised and innovative solutions for aviation’s most complex challenges. Our success is based on the talented and experienced people that make up our workforce. Due to continued growth and ambitious plans, we are now seeking a Finance Director to join our Management Board.

Based at our Head Office in Sywell and working closely with the Main Board, the Finance Director will be a driving force in growing the value of our company whilst maintaining our financial stability. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for promoting, building and protecting our commercial reputation and ensuring that the necessary financial resources are available to enable us to continue to deliver.

Key duties will include:

• Controlling the Company’s financial movements including, but not limited to our bank accounts, cashflow, creditors and debtors.
• Maintaining accurate and up to date account ledgers and registers
• Producing financial management information and providing support to improve the quality and effectiveness of it.
• Identifying, obtaining and allocating investment resources to improve capabilities
• Managing the Finance team.

The successful applicant will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Have demonstratable experience in a similar role at a similar level, ideally 3-5 years
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including month end and year end processes.
• Leadership skills essential with previous experience of line management highly desirable
• Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills
• Experience of working collaboratively at all levels of the business, creating opportunities for business expansion, development and improvement.
• Excellent communicator and team player, able to build credible trusting relationships at all levels both within the Company and with existing and potential clients
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment with competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Experience, interest or passion in aviation highly desirable but not essential.
• In addition, applicants must be able to demonstrate the Right to Work in the UK and hold a valid UK Driving Licence.
