Certifying Engineer – Boeing 737 (Classic & NG)

Leading Edge, an EASA approved Design Organisation (DOA) and Production Organisation (POA), provides design and production services to support the other business units within the group and external organisations. In January this year, Leading Edge set up an approved Maintenance Organisation (MOA) to enhance their offering.

2Excel have an exciting opportunity for a Certifying Engineer to join our Maintenance Organisation (MOA) based at Doncaster Airport. You will main function is the satisfactory completion and certification of all work packages assigned in accordance with the work specification.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Ensuring that Leading Edge Maintenance procedures and standards are complied with when carrying out maintenance
• Understanding how to verify the integrity of provided data
• For the certification of maintenance tasks assigned to you
• Where required, for ensuring, the assigned technicians under your control, that the quality of workmanship in the final product is to a standard acceptable to Leading Edge Maintenance and EASA/CAA.
• To record and notify any inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous procedure, practice information or maintenance instruction contained in the maintenance data used by maintenance personnel to the Head of Maintenance.
• To use the maintenance control software.
• To support the day-to-day running of the Maintenance Organisation.

The successful applicant will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

• Hold an EASA Part 66 B1/2 License with an unrestricted B737 (Classic & NG) type rating
• Other type ratings such as Beechcraft 200 and Boeing 737 are desirable
• Have demonstratable experience in a Maintenance environment and working on the 737 aircraft
• Demonstratable knowledge of previous certification
• The ability to correctly follow and understand MOE procedures
• Timely conclusion of support processes such as time sheet return
• The ability to learn new systems and follow additional tasking as/when required
• An awareness of relevant future authority requirements and regulation.

In addition, applicants must be able to demonstrate the Right to Work in the UK and hold a valid UK Driving Licence.

The role is full time over 4 days a week (either Monday – Thursday or Tuesday – Friday working pattern). However, we are looking for candidates who are flexible in order to meet business need.
