Andy flew as a fast jet pilot in the RAF for 22 years. With high profile ground appointments, he commanded No IV(AC) Squadron (an operational Harrier frontline squadron), as well as flying and commanding the Red Arrows from 1999-2001 for which he received the OBE. Andy was a co- founder of 2Excel in 2005 and was the leader of The Blades for its first 3-years, establishing the brand before focusing on 2Excel’s Business Development. Andy is 2Excel’s EASA Form 4 holding Director of Flight Operations. Having started BroadSword in 2009 he now concentrates on the T2 (2Excel’s Boeing 727 large aircraft spray and cargo projects) requirements.
Co-founding Director and EASA Form 4 holding Accountable Manager also spent 22 years in the RAF. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for operations over Kosovo before commanding No 1(F) Squadron, an operational Harrier squadron, and was awarded the OBE for his 14 years as an operational Harrier pilot. Having helped build the 2Excel brand, and as the Accountable Manager, he now focuses on commercial and financial strategy by following the Boards strategy and direction. He also concentrates on 2Excel’s diversification through Scimitar’s innovation into the contract air business units.
Harant is 2Excel’s Finance Director. A qualified chartered accountant he has been a partner in Spiers & Company, an accountancy firm based in London, for over 20 years. He has managed other businesses successfully, including hotels and property businesses. With 2Excel since 2006 he has repeatedly advised and invested in its growth, turning the business cash-flow positive within 18 months of start up and profitable 2 years later.
